Q & A with Connor Handley-Collins, Sales & Marketing Director of Truvision

Attendees at Venturefest South West 2016 will get to witness some of the most exciting and ground-breaking innovations coming out of the region at the Innovation Showcase. It’s a chance to meet the innovators and companies behind the technology and get up close to cutting-edge prototypes as well as finished products.

TruVision specialises in virtual reality for architecture experiences, allowing you to ‘walk around’ a new structure prior to its completion. Venturefest attendees can take part in a virtual reality demo allowing people to experience how virtual reality works allowing them to interact in real time with the house, changing colours, objects and even the time of day.

We asked Connor Handley-Collins, Sales & Marketing Director, Truvision Limited a few questions:

• What does your work involve?
The use of virtual reality, implemented in the construction industry, to allow future users to experience buildings before they are constructed.

• What problem does your innovation solve?
Costly errors where clients are not happy with the final build, and any post build alterations.

• How did you obtain investors for your own venture?
Currently no investors

• What would say are the three key elements for starting and running a successful technology business?
Passion, Time, Patience

• What three pieces of advice would you give to anyone who wants to attract investors?
1. Know your product/service inside out.
2. Make your company stand out from your competitors.
3. Make sure you are looking in the right places for the right types of investors that suit your needs.

• What has been your most satisfying moment in business?
Taking our first big order!

Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg is a genius.

• Where do you see yourself and your business in 10 years?
Offices in each continent across the world, using our software, to make the world a more beautiful place.
